wy_kid_wrangler04
So-- I just figured out that my 9th grader and my 2nd grader are both VERY VERY right brain based learners. How does this MAJOR left brain mom teach 2 right brained children?! Please help! Give me ideas. Give me tips. Give me suggestions. WHY did I wait so long to figure this out?! nono
Stare into the mirror. Look yourself in the eye. Say, "There is more than one way to be right." Over and over. ;) Have you read any books like Upside-Down Brilliance?
MyLittleBears
I'm in the same boat. With 3 boys and a hubby who are all right-brained VSLs, they've got me surrounded!!!! Have you read any books like Upside-Down Brilliance? :iagree: This book will help you embrace it and even appreciate their uniqueness! highly recommend !!!!!!!! We are going to use Home Studio Art this year because I cannot, cannot teach art effectively to these kids! Moniksca
I have a page on my blog about visual spatial learners. You need patience, lots and lots of it. I third the recommendation for upside down brillance because it was like a textbook about my ds. I just never understood a lot of the things he needed. angelmama1209
ok, I have a suspicion that this fits my 4yo. Is there a test for it? how would I determine for sure?
DyslexicParent
I took the quiz in the "Right-Brained Children in a Left-Brained World" book. I have only 8 'yes' responses so I am "somewhat left-brained." My 11-year old child got around the same. Does this mean that we should probably not bother with all these Right-Brain oriented books, including Upside-Down Brilliance? ok, I have a suspicion that this fits my 4yo. Is there a test for it? how would I determine for sure?
