shanezomom
We're in Grammar town and I am just not digging it. When I flip through the upcoming books in the series, I am not responding any better and I'm not appreciating the artwork. What am I missing? I put WWS on hold since I thought my right-brained boy would get into MCT but he's remembering grammar principles we covered long ago in FLL, and IEW gave him a good start in writing. Is MCT overkill anyway? I bought R&S just to cover our bases so I've overbought for this year.
besroma
I think it is similar to LOF in that it appeals to some, yet definitely not to others. Since you overbought and feel like you have the bases covered, I would sell the MCT and use what you have. It does hold its value well. KarenNC
I really wanted to love MCT, but it just didn't click for us (neither did LOF, for that matter).
Ali in OR
Well, Grammar Town is the least exciting part of it and it's only a month long (or so); a springboard for everything else. It's not the reason to use MCT (IMHO). We got a lot of value out of Paragraph Town. You (Mom) could read through it in a night or two and see if the ideas and approach would benefit your son. I would base my decision on that rather than Grammar Town.
RegularMom
I really wanted to love MCT, but it just didn't click for us (neither did LOF, for that matter). We had a similar experience with MCT here, and after that, I decided to not even look at LOF. :) Saxon is enough for us.
