michon
My 2 elementary kids want to learn Spanish, they are 8 and 11. Any recommendations?
thebacabunch
I learned Spanish as an adult and the best way is through immersion. My kids do Rosetta stone and we love it!
Mom0012
I used La Clase Divertida with my kids. We did the first 2 levels and then we did Getting Started with Spanish and now we're kind of "skimming" level 3 of La Clase for whatever vocabulary we can pick up from it. My next step was going to be Spanish for Children, and maybe it should be since I already bought it, but my dd is so enthusiastic, I really want to move her onto high school Spanish. Because of that, I may go ahead and start her in So You Really Want to Learn Spanish? It looks very user friendly to me after having had some elementary Spanish over the last couple of years. La Clase is fun and has crafts and cooking projects following each lesson. The lessons are designed to span over 2 weeks. It looks like Spanish for Children is very focused on conjugating verbs and building vocabulary. Both programs have a dvd component.
