lindblomnest
I am using HWT for my first grader but we will be finished with the first grade workbook before mid-year. I am thinking that after we finish the workbook, I will just have him copy our daily Bible verse. Has anyone done anything like this before? Did it work out well? boscopup
I used HWT 1 with my oldest in 1st grade, and once he learned all the letters (we were remediating poor letter formation habits like starting at the bottom or starting in weird places), I just had him do copywork. We didn't even finish the HWT book. :)

We also finished our workbook quickly. Before I updated our mac to the new operating system, I could use Startwrite software to printout whatever copywork we wanted to do in HWT fonts. I also made my own copywork practice on sheets on HWT paper. I very much like their 2 line paper (as opposed to 3 lines). My Ker just finished his HWT bok today. AHHHH!! I think I will just go ahead and let him do the first grade book.
ByGrace3
Yes, we used HWOT K and then 1st grade. We finished the grade 1 book the first semester and then just allowed the copywork in WWE to be enough. This year we are doing a transition manuscript/cursive workbook.
