MommyX8
I am going to use this for my hands-on guy. And I know that once my 5 year old girl sees those blocks, she is going to be all in. Do I need to start her in Primer or go for Alpha and work it thoroughly? Thanks.
LauraKay28
I used the primer for my first two, but with my 3rd we just jumped right into Alpha. She was 5 1/2 when we started, and did perfectly fine. She already knew how to write her numbers, count, etc. She does extra drill practice with xtramath.org, which is wonderful. I just didn't feel it necessary to start with the primer, when she appeared to be ready for first grade math.
parias1126
If your child knows how to write and can recognize numbers 1-9, then Alpha.
AKamp
We went straight to Alpha. My ds is a math kid and knows his numbers and already adds. I think Primer would be good for my preK dd.
