Jennifer in MI
I usually plan out my meals. Tonight is chicken and potatoes. I was planning to do parmesan chicken and homemade french fries (with veggies, of course!). But, it's REALLY HOT here tonight and I don't want to turn on my oven. Any ideas? I'd still like to use the chicken and potatoes if possible! Oh - I do have a grill, so we could just grill the chicken. Ideas for the spices? What do I do with the potatoes then? Most of my kids don't like them baked whole (but they'll eat them if they're shaped like french fries - silly kids!). Thanks!
Tammyla
I'd either try to grill everything or pull out the crockpot. It's too hot to cook here too.
percytruffle
You can grill the potatoes if you butter the outside and wrap them in foil. If you micro-cook them first to give them a head start they will only take as long as the chicken. Or, you can cut them into bite-sized chunks, add some diced onion, salt, pepper, and some butter, wrap up tightly in a foil packet and grill.
