OT: Intex Krystal Clear Deluxe Saltwater System

Recommended Posts

Gotta question, anyone know anything about these systems? How have you liked them? Wondering if I have made more work for myself getting it than just the regular pool routine? :confused1:

I bought one today to go with our pool(16'x48'), I have attached it to our current pool pump as it says to, added salt, now just waiting until tomorrow to turn the baby on. Now it says our current pump only needs to run the 4 hours the Krystal Clear system needs to run. After it has done its thing you can turn the pool pump off and the KC system will go into dorment mode until I assume 24 hours passes and it starts again. Here's the thing...our pump does not have an on/off switch, so I'd have to unplug it. Will it ruin the KC system if say we are not home or whatever and don't get the pool pump on? Thanks for any help, cd and book don't really say anything much about it, just that an error will show.

We have our pump on a "cheap" outdoor timer. Less than $20 at Wal Mart!

Where did you find the system to buy in person? I"ve only seen them online and haven't wanted to fork over the $$.

Canadian Tire here in Ontario. Thanks so much, I'll look into those timers.

I am not sure how the one you have works, but our pool is a saltwater system and I love, love, love it! I hope it works well for you. My favorite place for pool advice is http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/pools/

Thanks, I will check out the site. I am hoping I'll love this system better than all the chemicals I was using. This is the one I have, Krystal Clean.
