The VP lit is loosely correlated to the historical topics for each grade, so it's pretty easy to match up. Really though, if you haven't already bought TOG, you might consider just doing VP straight. My oldest is a voracious reader (400 pages a day is nothing if he likes it). Thinking maybe adding in kidnapped, Lord of the rings (he is reading fotr as we speak), and 451 farenheit, etc. even though they don't jive with the time period....
