Bear23
Would one recommend the Teacher supplies for someone who isn't really good in teaching writing? It's $$ but my writing skills are not good as my husbands and he is gone 90% of time. I am looking at purchasing both SWI B and Themed US History Explorers set too. edeemarie
It is my understanding that the SWI can be completed without the TWSS since the teaching is done through the DVDs, but with the theme based writings you would probably need the help of the TWSS. cjgrubbs
You would not want to do SWI B with a themed product at the same time. SWI B will be all you need to get started. I would recommend doing the lessons with your kids to help you learn along with your student. Then when you complete that (we did it over a full school year) you could do a theme based product. boscopup
I found TWSS really helpful. We just started SWI-A recently. Yes, SWI can be used without TWSS, but there were some things mentioned in TWSS that weren't mentioned in SWI, and I found it handy to know them so I could tell my son. Also, I have a good understanding of where the program is going after watching TWSS (well 4 discs so far - haven't finished it!). It is $$$, but having seen my son's output the last 2 school weeks, it was money well spent here!
