swellmomma
Ouch. I dropped my copy of WTM onto my pinky toe and would have to say it is totally broken now. I only known this book to break my bank previously (love the recommended resource sections), but never thought it would break my bones :tongue_smilie:

tutor!
My son just said, "Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me," as I read him your post. How appropo...

FaithManor
Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch!!!! BTDT...mine was not broken by the WTM, but ds's AP biology text and to add insult to injury, when it hit my toe and I jumped, the stupid book fell open to the picture of snake...the reptile unit...the only unit out of 36 that I do not teach directly, nor do I grade, nor do I test over so I can avoid the evil! Ice first and for 20 minutes and then soak in warm epsom salts water. Alternate the ice and soak every few hrs. for the first 24...it really does help a LOT with the pain. Faith  Definitely way way worse. Apparently that unit wanted to make itself known to you ;) I have been keeping ice on it but will soak it in epsom salts during nap time when I can get away from the 2 yr old. The kids while sympathetic are quite thrilled when I announced that we have to cancel the hard work today (labs and such that while fun require me standing lots) and I simply assigned 2 math pages and a wack of reading. Easy peasy day for them
