TCB
If I am going to use Jacobs Elementary Algebra for Alg 1 - what do I need to get besides the text book? I see that there is a TM and a Solutions Manual - which would you recommend, or do I need both? Thanks, Trenna
The Girls' Mom
You only need one. The teacher's manual isn't essential IMO, but it does have a few little extras in it. It does contain all the answers not found in the textbook though, so definitely don't get both.

Do you have the Solutions Manual, and if so, is it more useful than just having the answers in the teacher's manual?
momof2AL
DD is finishing up this text. She only used solutions manual.
The Girls' Mom
Thanks. Do you have the Solutions Manual, and if so, is it more useful than just having the answers in the teacher's manual? I have the Teacher's Manual. I sometimes wish there were examples of HOW the answers were figured. (there aren't any in the TM) I haven't seen the Solutions Manual in person, I have just gone by what was on the web. If the Solutions Manual has more than just the answers (for example: the problems shown worked out), I would go with that.
TCB
Thanks for the replies. I think I'm going to search out a Solutions Manual. Thanks, Trenna
