jewellsmommy
We just had a weekend vacation at the Outer Banks, NC. We were studying Native Americans leading up to it and then going into the settlers. So, I wanted the family to go to the site of the lost colony. I was explaining about the mystery of the colony as an intro into what we were going to see in the visitor center. Here is a conversation we had in the car as we arrived at the park: Me: We are going to see the site of the lost colony. ds: What's the lost colony? Me: (some brief explanation and telling the dc we are going to watch a video about it etc.) ds: ooh dd: (asked excitedly) Are we going to look for the bodies!? me: :001_huh: uh, no I then decided that dd is just not a history oriented child . What age is too young for a forensics science study? Dd is such a nut.
