Evergreen State Sue
When someone posts inside a thread that an update to a topic is on page #13 at #127, I will go to page 13 and there is not a post #127. The posts start over with #1 on that page and there isn't an update to be found. How do you find a post when a certain page and number is indicated? Do the numbers change and the poster doesn't realize it? (I can't find the update NanceXToo posted!) Mrs Mungo
Not everybody has the same number of posts per page, it depends upon your settings. The post numbers (which are toward the upper right of the post-see the #2 by the red triangle near the top of my post?) are the same for everybody, but the pages will not be. I have my setting so that I have 50 posts per page instead of 10 or 20.
Onceuponatime
Your "display mode" has to be set on linear for you to see the post numbers
Mrs Mungo
Your "display mode" has to be set on linear for you to see the post numbers This is a good point. I don't use threaded mode, unless I have to briefly switch because some people don't quote and then I can't figure out to whom they are speaking. Evergreen State Sue
Thank you so much! The linear mode did the trick. I had it switched to another mode (can't remember now what it is called . . . hybrid?) for some reason. Now that I an see the advantage to linear mode, I need to find out why I had it switched to the other way. There must be a reason!
