x-post: GEMS-based science

Recommended Posts

I'm just copying this, which I put on the K-8 board, b/c I'd really like a logic perspective if anyone has one.

Am considering designing an elementary/middle curriculum based essentially on the GEMS guides (just one for myself. I mean, I'm happy to share when it's done, but it won't be fancy! :)) Will probably include Magic of Reality and Story of Science, and/or other book resources, for background; and something like History of Science a la Beautiful Feet. And some statistics.

This is for an empirical science course.

Any concerns about that? If there were something nicely written out that made it easy to use, what would you be concerned about and/or want to add?

(thanks in advance for any ideas, concerns, feedback ...)
