Angelhar
I am trying to decide if I should use Algebra & Trig by Foerster for one year or 2. Veritas Press splits it up into 2 years calling the first year Algebra 2 and the 2nd year Precalculus. Kolbe academy used to do this but now uses the first half of the book for one year then the next year they switch over to Foerster's new Precalculus book. I don't know of a video course with the new Precalculus book and it is nice to have the DVD teacher with the whole Algebra & Trig. Has anyone had experience with either of these 2 books and what worked for you? Thanks. Angela
Jann in TX
It is a 1 year book plus a bit... The Trig section in that text is not a full 1-semester course (but it goes pretty far into one). Foerster himself states that a student who will be going into higher maths work the Algebra 2 text (minus the Trig) and follow that with his Pre-Calc course-- which has advanced Algebra as well as a full semester course of Trig. Angelhar
Thanks. I think we will try to do it in one year then switch over like you suggest. :)
