3browneyedboys4me
Which one of these programs would you recommend? I have been using MUS for my 13 yr old, but I was looking over TT the other day and admit it looks tempting. Anyone familiar with both these programs that could give me a good comparison?? I appreciate it!
ErinD
I haven't done the TT pre-algebra yet, but TT has won out over MUS in every other level so far. MUS (including pre-algebra) led to a lot of gnashing of teeth and time-consuming tutoring required. TT offers hints and you can check your answers, ask for explanations, and they even offer free help to students by phone.

AngieW in Texas
I am using MUS Algebra I with my 13yo right now, but MUS prealgebra was an awful fit for her. The topics and the order didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I would prefer TT prealgebra over MUS prealgebra. If you have a strong math student, I would go with Kinetic Books over TT and MUS. I think KB is a much more rigorous program. My youngest needs a program that isn't as rigorous and she needs a program that isn't on the computer, so MUS is a good fit for her. 3browneyedboys4me
Ok, thank you. He is not a strong math student. He struggles with new concepts and the spiral approach. I've never used TT. I might need to just compare the Table of Contents and see how they teach each concept. Thanks for your input.
