LNC
My daughter took the SAT in 7th grade. She scored amazingly well in writing. But, she did less amazing in Critical reading. :) I am looking at these workbooks for my children next year to help them think critically about their reading assignments. They look like excellent SAT prep. Can anyone recommend these? http://www.rainbowresource.com/prodlist.php?subject=6&category=1011
Mom0012
I used them this year and I thought they were good. I plan on buying them again next year. We just do one or two passages a week. The last two years, we used the Reading Detective cd-roms from The Critical Thinking Co. and my kids scores really increased. We'll see what happens after a year of the EPS books. LNC
I'll add Reading Detective cd to my Rainbow wish list. Thanks! Does anyone else rec. the Jane Ervin Reading Comprehension in Daily Subject Matter? Especially for SAT critical reading test prep?
love2read
These were wildly popular when I began homeschooling ages ago. I totally forgot about them. Yes, they will help as will Reading Detective. I've used both in the past, but now I lean more on having the kids narrate and I ask probing questions.
