Halftime Hope
soon as the Kimbell has just opened the only US exhibit of an Impressionists collection from the Clark, a collection which is very heavy on Renoirs. Dd and I are planning to go this week while she is home from college--can't wait! This exhibit will travel worldwide, so these particular paintings won't come back to the Clark for 3 years...an eternity when time with our students is quickly running out. : ( Here's an interesting review: http://www.dfw.com/2012/03/07/588795...sm-brings.html and a link directly to the Kimbell http://impressionism.kimbellart.org/ Tuesdays are half price. : ) The Amon Carter (American Art) will be featuring a number of the Clark's John Singer Sargents at the same time, and the Carter is free--a very nice two-fer. Ya'll come! ; )
