Momling
If we wanted to read a few stories from the Decameron, which ones would be best for kids? I did read it in college, but don't remember much (okay... don't remember any of the stories).
swimmermom3
My eighth grade son read The Tale of the Falcon which is the ninth tale of the fifth day. While I am not much of a censor, The Decameron, like The Canterbury Tales, and A Thousand and One Arabian Nights deserves some careful previewing due to mature themes. The Tale of the Falcon is a fine example of situational irony. Let me know if you need more recommendations. I am not sure how big of a sampling of Boccacio's work you need.
