Decameron

Recommended Posts

My eighth grade son read The Tale of the Falcon which is the ninth tale of the fifth day. While I am not much of a censor, The Decameron, like The Canterbury Tales, and A Thousand and One Arabian Nights deserves some careful previewing due to mature themes.

The Tale of the Falcon is a fine example of situational irony. Let me know if you need more recommendations. I am not sure how big of a sampling of Boccacio's work you need.
