frugalmama
They arrived yesterday from Insect Lore, and were active right away, crawling, eating the food in the bottom of the jar and one even shed his skin. Today very minimal movement - 3 have wiggled a little, 2 haven't moved at all. Haven't really seen them eating much today either. Is this normal? Could they have gotten too cold last night {we set our night heat for 65}? Should I be worried?
GingerPoppy
I'm not sure. What type are they? Sometimes they can get quite still for a day or so before they form their chrysalises or cocoons. Hopefully that's all that's going on.

I don't think they are forming yet - I think they are still too small for that. 2 are hanging out by the top though - the biggest one {about an inch long} and the smallest one {maybe half an inch tops}. MomatHWTK
If I recall correctly, you may suspect that they are actually dead when they are preparing to wrap themselves. We actually had some sort of moth that burrowed underground to transform. We thought the thing was long gone- then come spring, we had a Sphinx Moth!
