creekland
I occasionally look over the movie threads on here and added Temple Grandin to our Netflix queue based upon suggestions from the hive. I'd never even heard of it before and still felt like I knew nothing about it. Then we watched it last night... great movie! I have an autistic boy very similar to Temple in my 8th grade class at school. It's so helpful to have an "inside" look. We learn all the "facts" of course, but there's something about visual in a true movie from that perspective. I consider it good for Aspies too. Thank you, thank you, thank you whoever you were who recommended it (multiple whoevers). Any for anyone looking for movies (this is a movie - not a documentary), Temple Grandin gets 5 stars (of 5) from all four of us.
ThisIsTheDay
We felt the same way. I never would have chosen it, and forced my kids to watch!, if it hadn't been for the recommendations I read here. We all thought it was a great movie.:lurk5:
