iona
We started sotw 1 last summer and my oldest who is in 1st does pretty well with it. We listen to the chapter, color, do mapwork and narrate. My second is in k and sometimes colors but it seems over his head. My 3 year old runs around. I was thinking fiar would be a nice way to include everyone and I like the idea of the built in art. I don't think we'd notebook or lapbook, mainly discuss. I'm wondering if this seems like too much, or if I keep them both light that it would be fine. I could also drop sotw for a year or so untill the older two at least would benefit. Anyone do both?
momsuz123
We do both but my older kids are older than yours. FIAR at times holds my newly turned 3 y/o interests. But for your older two, I would think it would work. You could always give it a try. Did you find the homeschoolshare.com website? They have a whole section on FIAR. Maybe you could print off some coloring things, etc for your little one on the book you are reading to keep him/her busy.
iona
Thanks for the link. I think I'll try it and see how it goes. All three are boys and they like coloring(sometimes) and cutting things up.
