iamrachelle
I'm trying to figure out how I can combine my two DC next year on history. The VP self-paced history class looks like something my 4th grader would love... would it be too juvenile for a 7th/8th grader? Do you think there is a way I could flesh it out a bit more and add in something more challenging for my older DD, or should I simply go with two different history curricula? G5052
A lot depends on the kid. I currently have one in a live class with VP now, but the self-paced would give us more flexibility. One of mine would hate that sort of thing, and the one I'm considering it for likes the humor and graphics. Look at the book package that goes with it. I'm using it as "history light" for a kid who reads at an adult level. The books are going to be easy, but they're fine for what I want. Bloggermom
I LOVE watching them with my kids and I learn a lot from them. However, it doesn't have the deep discussions that a logic level history should have. It is a great course, but it teaches everything at a grammar level.
