Julie Smith
I liked the Donald Zochert one; I practically forced my brother to buy it for my birthday when I was 13! lol Since then, I've read others--I hear the William Anderson one is good. I can't remember if it's that one or not, but one of them makes the case that Rose edited a LOT of the series. I found the tone rather disrespectful of Laura's writing abilities. The William Anderson one I read was very short. It was meant for children. I think it was only 74 pages.
woolybear
Since we're on the subject.....ds loved all the Little House books so much that he wanted to keep going. So we started the Rose series. The first one was pretty good. I don't recall if it was by the second or third that it starts to get way too into Rose thinking about boys, etc. I just felt I had to stop. Are any of the other series good without getting too grown up-ish. I'm referring to the Caroline or Martha series. Are there any others?
