renabeth
I really want my kids to learn some geography. We just finished 12 weeks of Dance mat typing so we have a little elective time left over each day. I want to do geography. We have Geography Songs but I really just want to teach it for about 12 weeks and then be done with it. Is there anything that a 9 year old and 11 year olds can do online? If you don't know a geography program, any suggestions on what to do for the 12 weeks?:) Thanks Beth
morosophe
Well, there's U.S.A. games from Sheppard Software, or you could download Seterra for international geography. Or you could just browse around Mr. Brown's Cyber School: Geography, Maps, Atlases, & Flags, and see what links you like. All of these are free, I think. acurtis75
Someone posted this link recently and I've been using the free printables under each continent along with the geography songs cd. There are also library book recommendations which I use and also pick up other books on whichever country we're working on. http://homeschoolcreations.blogspot.com/2009/05/galloping-globe-resources-top-picks.html
renabeth
Thank you so much for the links!:) Those were the type of things I was looking for. Seterra looked good but my virus software said dangerous? Maybe it was just overreacting. I bookmarked them all and will take a closer look later. Thanks again!
