JFSinIL Posted June 1, 2008 Share Posted June 1, 2008 i used WriteShop level 1 and half of level 2 for ds in 6th and 8th grade (he went to public school for 7th to see what he was missing ;) ) and then last half of 8th grade did a lot of Jensen's Format Writing to work on the various types of 5-paragraph essays. I am also using it for my struggling writer, but I have had to add in more explicit instruction like PTIW, Sentence Composing books, and IEW (trying this next year).
