Parker Martin
I'm trying to get more organized. The large Little People (airport, fire station, car garage) and Imaginext toys (castle, pirate ship, nautical ship, jungle) have me at a loss. If you have these toys or toys of similar size, where do you store them? Are there shelves that will accommodate them? I'd like to have them out and accessible, but not lining the front of my hearth as they are now.
specialmama
our big toys are in boxes or those clear zippered bags that comforters come in. Some are stored in the garage, some in the furnace room, some in ds's closet on the top shelf or floor. If I can't find a home for it, then something has to be donated to make room. ;)
Desert Rat
We had ours stored in wire cubes that connected together. One plaything went in each cube, sometimes two. For example, the farm got its own, etc. The peoples and accessories were in a bin that also fit in the cube. It just happened to be a good size rubbermaid type. The wire cubes I just saw at Target when I was there. Right now, our imaginext (which are also pretty big) are in a huge rubbermaid tub with the castle, jungle and large pirate ship resting on top. amo_mea_filiis.
Ds has a loft bed for this reason. He has a few of the Imaginext playsets and a huge doll house. They're easy to get to, but neat to put away.

annlaura
I put a small bookcase in the boys' closet. They are still small enough that their clothes don't reach the shelves. Most of the big toys fit on, and two sit in front of the shelves.
