elegantlion Posted October 7, 2011 Share Posted October 7, 2011 (edited) We're using unit 1 and only on stage 3, but some of the stories are just weird. Ds and I determined it was like reading a soap opera almost. This week, stage 3, we get the barber who cuts an old man and our main character just gets up leaves. We have no resolution about the old at all. The next story is about the slave-dealer and the main character decides to pick the pretty girl and is well pleased with her. I know they're trying to add culture, so I understand the slave-dealer, and maybe the pretty girl comments, but the barber thing left ds and I with a weird impression. (On a fitting side note, I watched Sweeny Todd last night :lol:) Did anyone else find the stories odd? Do they get any better? Bueller?
