summer
We have used both for the other levels and find both to be high quality. We are using Apologia for 7th grade though as it seems easier to use for at home. But, the title of the 8th grade year indicates the perfect content for my DD who loves geology and is interested in aerospace engineering. However, my inpression of BJU is that it is too hard to do at home. I have only done BJU Science when I outsourced the science. What do you think? 4wildberrys
I personally would go with what she is interested in---and it sounds like BJU 8th fits the bill. The new 2nd editions of Apologia are GREAT---and so easy to use at home, but definitely not as specialized as BJU for 8th.
Langhaven
My dh teaches the science in our home and he prefers BJU for content as well as visual asthetics. It looks more interesting. He has compared both textbooks. People always are surprised that he doesn't care for Apologia. Bob Jones has been our one and only all the way through.
