3peasinapod
We went and got a beautiful Cinderella pumpkin, along with others, and it fell out of the truck. It got a tear in the skin of it. Is there anything we can do so it won't mold and rot quickly now? I know it sounds like a lot of trouble for a pumpkin, but it was a special pumpkin that DD8 spent a lot of time picking out, and we would like to "save" it. ;)

It protects it as the skin would. If you do this when you carve the pumpkin as well (along the carved areas) it will help it last longer, too.
