"Best" just in terms of "Wow, we really learned a lot from this book and the experiments were engaging and mom wasn't burned-out from gathering materials." I've printed out all the samples and don't have the time to go through the experiments since tomorrow is the end of the September sale. We tried Life this week and I think DD enjoyed it. She's already read a lot of science books from the library, but I've neglected science experiments in K and this is the year to do more hands-on projects.
