ELaurie
We have Word and Word Perfect on our computer. Is one better than the other for any reason?
regentrude
I don't think it matters - if he can work with one, he can easily switch to the other. The only thing that would be really is typing equations and incorporating graphics - but for writing, either is fine. I would be swayed one way or the other if he has to be compatible with other people and share files. In my experience, more people use Word, and I have recently begun to convert a lot of my WordPerfect stuff into word for this reason. So, maybe Word would have a slight preference (although I like some of the things in WP better)
Karen in CO
Word is more standard. It is what I use at work and what my ds uses in college.
