Holly in FL
I really don't know what I was thinking. I have been lining my pans with parchment paper lately...because my bread always seems to stick in the pans when I use olive oil or butter to grease them. Today, I was in a hurry and used olive oil. Now, all 5 loaves are stuck in the pans. I used a knife to loosen one of the loaves, but it ruined the loaf...it broke apart even though I was very careful. Is there any way to get them out of the pans? Sigh... Thanks! ~Holly
Vida Winter
If they are still hot I'd just let them cool off and try again. I bet they will loosen up.
Holly in FL
Yes, they are hot. I just don't want them to get soggy in the pans. Thanks! ~Holly
Holly in FL
Okay! They are out of the pans. The bread IS a bit wet on the bottom from sitting in the pans for 20 minutes...but, they came out. Thanks! ~Holly
FlockOfSillies
I read "pans" as "panTs". I thought, Wow, that DOES sound like an emergency! :smilielol5:
AuntieM
This happens to me occasionally. As soon as I see that the bread is going to stick, I turn the pan upside down for a few minutes. The heat that is coming off the bread gets trapped in the pan, and that often loosens the bread. May not work every time, but that's my technique. I have those nice waffled pans that aren't supposed to stick, but I have taken to greasing the bottom of them anyway.

Holly in FL
That's funny! Yesterday, I wrote a post regarding "tutoring" neighborhood children. A few members here thought they read "torturing!" Smiles! ~Holly
