diaperjoys
My 8yo son needs something for writing. He's finished WWE1, and we started out doing WWE2, but it quickly became apparent he already knows the material. So.... is it too soon to start Writing Tales? Or should we do WWE3 this year and move to WT next year? I'm a little weary of WWE, and I'm reluctant to spend an entire year learning to do a 3 sentence summary. But maybe I'm missing something.... What next? Writing Tales? WWE 3? or something else??
TracyR
8 is a good age to start. That's the age I started my girls with it.
RootAnn
You could start WT & see how he does. If he's not a reluctant writer (physically writing) and knows how to do narrations, I'd say he'd be ready for WT1. If he still struggles some (attitude-wise or fine-motor-skill-wise) with writing, I'd just use the author of WT's suggestions for gradually increasing the amount of physical writing he does each week.
