Baby waking messy from naps

O.K. So I am at a loss here. Most likely because I am so sleep deprived. But I need some help brainstorming.

Our 8 month old almost 9 month old is a very good napper and has recently (three weeks) started waking from naps at about 40 minutes with a messy diaper.... every naptime. I walk in and he is messy. I don't know if I need to change his feeding schedule to fix this or what.

 

His current schedule:

6-7 awake & nurses

8:30 breakfast (solid)

9:00 nap

10:30 or 11 nurses

12:30 Lunch (solid)

1:00 nap

2:30 or 3 nurses

4:00 nurses

5:30 Dinner (solid)

6:30 nurses

7 or 7:30 in bed

 

I have thought that maybe the solid before nap is the culprit, but I am unsure of how else to do the feeding.

I need him to sleep longer for naps because he is still very fussy when getting up and we are going to be starting school in two weeks and it would be nice to do that with a well rested baby :)

:bigear: I am watching a 10 month old and a poopy diaper wakes her up from her afternoon nap every day. I am pretty sure she would sleep longer if she didn't mess her diaper. Since I am not her mom I can't control much but will be watching to see what others say...

I recall with potty training they say to put the kid on about 30 min after eating to go #2. I would either move lunch up 30 min or move the nap to be after the child goes #2. At least the kid is regular. :lol:

I think that may be what I need to do. I just know if I move lunch up he won't eat as much... so maybe waiting for nap until he goes.
