I am using some Living Math too.

MIRL - Math In Real Life

I bought the entire MM set earlier this year. It was very much worth the MIRL and entire grade package too.

MIRL is a book of lessons that use specfic skills such averaging or fractions to show how the math is used in real life. A cooking lesson demonstrates fractions, for example.

MIRL on MM site ... http://www.mathmammoth.com/worksheets/mirl/

And, I got the name wrong, LOL Make It Real Learning ... I could have sworn that it was Math in Real Life. Did we have a name change?:glare: Did I lose my mind again?

Edit: I suppose that you don't want to know about the States by Numbers on the MM site too? LOL I have those as well. I couldn't help it. http://www.mathmammoth.com/worksheets/mirl/states_by_the_numbers.php

Thank you all for your help. I did it and I bought MM just now. Printing it out as I type!

Congrats!!

We switched to MM light blue series last year and haven't had any regrets since the switch! It's all we use for math as it's very well done and there is no need to add anything.
