Samiam
So I got my codes to activate my Reading Eggs sub from HSBC. But when I got to Reading Eggs, and go to the Parent thing, as instructed by HSBC, it is just for activating a 14 day trial. Is this where I am supposed to click? How will Reading Eggs know that I already purchased a one year subscription after the 14 day trial ends? Sooo confused, lol!
ChristusG
Not sure, I just ordered mine today so I should be getting the codes within like 3 days, I think it said. How long did it take them to send your codes?
Samiam
Let's see, I ordered on Thursday, and I think I got my email on Friday, but didn't bother opening and following instructions until Saturday./ I did send an email to HSBC but I don't expect to hear from them until at least Monday. But I wanted to start Reading Eggs Monday a.m. :(
annlaura
I had a trial already, although it had expired. But I didn't have any problem activating. Did you have a trial or is it your first sign up?
mamapjama
I just ordered mine tonight too. It says on the order page that you will receive instructions on your "My Subscriptions" page. Did you check there for any information? Let us know how you make out.
Samiam
Yes, did read my instructions at HSBC under my account. That is where it told me to click on the Parent box if I did not have a trial subscription already. I don't have a trial subscription, and the only Parent box is to sign up for the trial subscription. So for you that said you had a trial already (sorry, forgot your name), how did you turn that into the regular sub?
annlaura
I just logged in, and when a box popped up offering the option "add a child," I clicked it and entered the HSBC info. I don't remember exactly from when I did it, but when you're signing up for the trial, isn't there a point where you add your child? When you get to that point, can you select "enter password from school"?
Samiam
Hmm, I will give that a shot! Thanks AnnLaura! ps. I hadn't clicked anything yet for fear of messing it up :)!
annlaura
I hope that works. Let us know how it goes. :)
