wy_kid_wrangler04
I asked before, and I was recommended Evan Moors Daily Geography and Beginning Geography, but I am wondering if anybody else has any ideas before I order. I am looking to a basic, yet thorough intro to geography for my ds's to add into ECC to make it more age appropriate for them. Also, between Daily Geography and Beginning Geography what do you think provides the best, most thorough introduction for that age group? (ds's are 5 1/2 and almost 7)
cholderby
:bigear: I'm teaching a 1st/2nd geography class for co-op in the fall, I'd love to hear some recs.
Chelli
I vote for the Beginning Geography book. We loved it! I used it for K and 1st (we did half the book one year and half the other). Next year we are moving on to the Daily Geography book, just because there is not an Intermediate Geography by Evan Moor :glare: It is a really great intro to Geography for young'uns :D
Ewe Mama
I like the downloadable Expedition Earth from www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com as an add-on to ECC. It's affordable and has some cute ideas. She also has one based on geography in the USA. (I can't remember what that one is called, but it looked good, too) Just looked it up. It's called Road Trip USA. Other than that, I liked Galloping the Globe for my littles when we were doing ECC. For a basic introduction to geography (not specifically topic-based) I do like the Evan-Moor Daily Geography Practice.
