It's a hisorical mansion, the owners are wonderfully helpful and the price is really reasonable for a top notch place. Also, it's just a few blocks from the FQ. angel marie Posted August 4, 2011 Share Posted August 4, 2011 oh yo! we live close by n.o. royal sonesta, windsor court, hotel montleone, hotel provential are all authentic new orleans hotels in the french quarter. you can step outside and literally be right in the quarter. if you have kids--don't miss the children's museum, audubon zoo, wwII museum, insectarium, aquarium, cafe deMonde for beignets, jackson square, the catheral to name a few. lots of antique shops are on royal street. once you check-in to your hotel, everything is in walking distance except the zoo, wwII museum, and children's museum. great places to eat--redfish grill, court of two sisters, maspero's, acme oyster house and deannie's for seafood too. lots of other places too. eat pralines at aunt annie's by cafe deMonde enjoy your stay. p.s. its hot like where you are from right now!! angel Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
