Jane in NC Posted May 21, 2008 Share Posted May 21, 2008 Hi folks, Our dinner tonight included baked onion rings. (Recipe concept from an old Family Fun magazine.) We love pissaladiere (pizza made with a thick layer of carmelized onions--no tomato sauce). French onion soup is great, too. Other favorite onion recipes? My 16 year old son's favorite vegetable is the onion. And I would like to take advantage of the Vidalias that are now on sale. Your ideas are most appreciated. Janet in Toronto Posted May 22, 2008 Share Posted May 22, 2008 I refer to this dip as "Cholesterol on a Cracker", but it's great. Mix 2 c of chopped vidalia onions, 2 c. shredded swiss cheese, and 2 c. mayonnaise. Place in ovenproof dish and bake until bubbly. It is completely addictive.
