Pretty in Pink
Yesterday ds5 showed me his toe and said that it hurt. There is a vertical gap, about 1/8", between the toenail and cuticle (as in, if I were so inclined I could slip something something thin in the space between his nail and cuticle). What happened? I'm leaning toward making an appointment for him, though I have no clue what a doctor can do for it. I figure that I'll be told to keep it clean and wrapped to prevent infection. WWYD? 74Heaven
I would guess the toenail is in the process of coming off. I would agree with your guess as to what the doctor would say?
Starr
That's impressive if it's not black and blue. Usually they just let them grow out unless there is a problem. The new nail will be growing in right behind it.
Pretty in Pink
Yeah, the nail itself looks completely normal. Weird. I tried to get him in this afternoon but the base clinic is unable to see him today. I don't think it's an urgent care situation, so I'm just going to keep an eye on it and wait until Monday to have it looked at.
