momma aimee
:DMy oldest is 5.5 and I plan to start Bible verse Memory work this fall. I had ideally planned to start it loooong before now but then God blessed us with a slightly SN child with a profound Speech Delay. LOL So his speech is finally to a place he can do this without great undue frustration. Anyone got a list (on word, in a blog ...) of the simple verses they started their little ones out on. I have a few, but know I am missing several logical choices. I see no need to reinvent the wheel if i can steal it
pamela&claire
Try these lists. I know it says for 3 and 4 year olds but they are still good scripture to memorize. http://www.abcjesuslovesme.com/3-year-old-curriculum/curriculum-lists/54-memory-verses-3rd-year http://www.abcjesuslovesme.com/4-year-old-curriculum/curriculum-lists/41-character-trait-verse-a-song-table-4th-year We also got the Hide 'Em in your Heart CD/DVD combos since it's scripture in song. I still remember these scriptures from when I was a teenager (and my siblings were children). http://www.christianbook.com/Christian/Books/easy_find?Ntt=hide+em+in+your+heart&N=0&Ntk=keywords&action=Search&Ne=0&event=PSRC&nav_search=1&cms=

6packofun
We have our kids memorize the verses that they practice in A Reason for Handwriting. Why not double up, ya know? I like the verses chosen quite well so it works for us. Edited July 7, 2011 by 6packofun .,,

I don't know how much you know about AWANA, but the Cubbies Hopper & Cubbies Jumper verses are for preschoolers, and Sparks are for K, 1st, & 2nd graders.
