They are required to teach the exact same thing, verbatim, as all the other teachers in that grade on that day at that specific hour. If you were to walk through the school, you could hear the exact same lessons being taught across the hallway. These are open concept schools. I don't know this because I've actually been allowed to walk through the school during school hours, but because my children have told me so, as have a couple of teachers I befriended and the registrar when we were given a tour prior to registration. BTW, most of the teachers we encountered were awesome, just frustrated that they couldn't teach the way they wanted. Also this district happens to pay their teacher less than the other surrounding districts. This is becoming more and more of an issue. Most teachers I know find it very frustrating.
