TracieT
My ds had an IEP for speech. We started using the county services before he was two. At three he went to the public preschool twice a week for speech therapy. He only went for a year and we decided not to send him back the next year. So, I think they closed his IEP. He's 5-1/2 now and I haven't heard a thing from anyone. I guess what I'm wondering is if I will ever hear from them again or if closed means closed. Is homeschooling going to be a problem having had the IEP or anything like that?
Twilight Woods
No. IEP is for when you need special services like Speech, OT etc. It does not effect homeschooling. NOW if he needs speech again you will need to contact the school to have him re-evaluated to have that put back in place.
