Dianne-TX
We've used AO for a few years now and have done narration throughout. We had our seasons of being interrupted and had inconsistency over time due to babies being born, frequent illness, etc. We've been back to a good schedule for a couple of weeks now and I'm concerned about our narrations skills. (dc are 10 and 8 and I'm thinking it should be better) I was wondering if those of you that use narration as a part of your schooling wouldn't mind sharing what an oral narration should sound like and what I should be hearing to make sure they are "getting it". Thanks.
Jean in Newcastle
Go to the K-8 Writing Workshop subforum (it's under the K-8 Curriculum Board listing). There are tons of oral narrations written down there.

Kathleen in VA
Something that helped me get a grasp on what a narration should sound like were the suggested narrations in the SOTW Activity guides. Each chapter includes comprehension questions as well as a suggested narration. These suggestions are much less detailed than I would have expected and helped me to understand what I should be looking for in a narration.
