beachnut
I tried to search for a recent thread about someone studying the History of Science and looking for great science biographies, but I couldn't find it. Anyway, I came across this great Teaching Co. Course that seems to highlight just what you'll be studying, called "History of Science: Antiquity to 1700." Here's a link to the course description: http://www.thegreatcourses.com/tgc/courses/course_detail.aspx?cid=1200 . Thought you might find it helpful. And, if you search today's threads on this board, you'll see that ALL Teaching Co. courses are 70% off for a limited time. (Don't know the details, sorry.) Best of luck! MorningGlory
Thank you, Lisa! I've looked at this course several times (as well as the Joy of Science course), but I am not sure how to add in an audio component to our plans. I know that sounds strange, but I have not had much luck with doing audio/video in the past. For some reason, if it is not in my stack of books on my desk, then it is forgotten. If I could overcome this personal hurdle, then I'm sure my son would benefit from some audio/video! :) I think I will look at it again...especially if it is on sale. By the way, I had posted my scientist biography question on the Logic board. http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=274322 Thanks again, Jetta

My email notice of the sale says that all DVDs on are sale for two days. Did you get a different sale notice? If so, LUCKY!

We are very blessed to have a huge selection from the Teaching Company. That would make it less of a waste if you did have trouble incorporating it.
