Abecedarianmama Posted May 19, 2011 Share Posted May 19, 2011 My fourth grader just finished level E of spelling power, and we are a couple of weeks out of finishing until August 1st school. Donna Posted May 20, 2011 Share Posted May 20, 2011 I always drop Spelling Power for the summer then give dd their placement test the next Sept and place her wherever the test says. I qualify that by saying that dd is a natural speller and always places at least a level higher the next year than where we left off so that is part of the reason I don't have a problem with not doing spelling. (I did the same thing with her brothers when they were homeschooling, though they were not great spellers and they always placed into the next level the following Sept.)
