suppleasthewind
I read in another thread that some people combine history and science. I think that sounds like fun. Could you tell me what books or other resources I can use?
Momling
For my oldest, we've combined history with Hakim's Story of Science, but it's really aimed at middle schoolers and would be way over my 7 yr old's head. I don't know of any resources for younger kids.
amyrjoy
I am not sure, because I haven't used it personally, but Heart of Dakota seems to make science go along with the history.
Spetzi
I know Beautiful Feet has a guide for the History of Science. We are going to use Hakim's Story of Science, but I'm getting this for my younger ones. Ancient Science: 40 Time-Traveling, World Exploring, History-Making Activities for Kids I know Janice Van Cleave has Science Through the Ages and Scientists Through the Ages. There is also a series of Ancient Science so you can study scientific advancements in different areas of the world. Hope some of this helps! suppleasthewind
Thanks! I went and found some of these on the Barnes and Noble website. They look very interesting and I ordered some. I think the boys will like them.:001_smile:
