Apologia Anatomy

Our co-op is thinking about doing Apologia Anatomy next year. How does this book work for K/1st age? It seems like it's better for older kids - should I attempt it, or should I try to pull together a younger anatomy/body class? I've seen the Jr. Notebook samples online, but it looks like a lot of writing for K'ers....thoughts?

We are using Apologia's Anatomy this year. In my opinion, the book is geared toward upper elementary grades. I've been reading the lessons aloud. My sixth grader enjoys the book and the notebooking journal. Most of the information goes over my first grader's head. He enjoys the activities though. I haven't looked at the Jr. Notebook, but if it involves a lot of writing, my son wouldn't enjoy it at all.

I'm using it in a coop with 4th-6th graders. Even the moms of some of the younger kids in the group who were initially worried if it would be too difficult have been pleased with how their dc have been doing with the text. It's a big hit.

I tried to have my third grader work along with us at home but it didn't keep her interest.
